Popular Nigerian rapper, Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, widely known by his stage name CDQ, has made headlines following his bold declaration that he would never collaborate musically with controversial artist Speed Darlington, not even for a staggering $100 billion.
CDQ made this shocking statement during a recent appearance on the Echo Room show, hosted by Teddy A. The topic of discussion revolved around artists he would be unwilling to work with, regardless of the offer on the table.
When asked to name one artist he could never collaborate with, no matter the sum, CDQ paused briefly before revealing that Akpi—a nickname often associated with Speed Darlington—was his pick. He emphasized that even if he were offered billions of dollars, he would still refuse to work with him, citing deep-rooted differences and creative incompatibility.
In addition to his comments about Speed Darlington, CDQ went on to recall an unusual encounter with Blessing CEO. According to him, she once slid into his DMs offering to help promote one of his songs. He found the message amusing and didn’t take the offer seriously.
