Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo recently offered a heartfelt prayer and emotional message to her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, during a touching baby shower ceremony held in Canada. The occasion was a celebration of love, motherhood, and new beginnings, as Priscilla prepares to welcome her first child with Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.
Following the revelation of Priscilla’s pregnancy, the mother-daughter duo travelled abroad to host the baby shower in Canada, where Iyabo took the opportunity to share some deep reflections and blessings, rooted in her own life experiences.

In a video from the event, Iyabo Ojo could be seen visibly emotional and full of gratitude, pouring passionate prayers upon her daughter. She openly declared her hopes for Priscilla’s marriage, expressing a powerful belief that her daughter would have the long-lasting and joyful union that eluded her own life.
“Priscilla, your marriage will work. You will grow old with your husband because in God you have married right. If mine did not work, yours will work, for I have paid that sacrifice for yours to work,” she stated tearfully, evoking heartfelt reactions from guests present.
She used the platform to send a broader message to fellow mothers and critics alike. Addressing public comments about the lavish nature of the wedding ceremony, she stood firm in her decisions as a mother, explaining that everything she does is for her children’s happiness and well-being.
“I want to use this to encourage a lot of mothers out there. We go through a lot. When people saw the wedding, they were like, ‘Iyabo, why this and that?’ But for me to be here today, I made the decision, whether good or bad, it is my burden to carry. And I will never deprive my children of their blessings, no matter the situation,” she said with conviction.
In a moving conclusion to her message, Iyabo Ojo spoke about the spiritual battle to break generational patterns, especially those involving failed marriages and emotional struggles passed through generations.
“There’s something called ancestral curses; for you to break it, you must stop it,” she declared, suggesting that her strength and endurance were meant to pave the way for a better future for her children.
