Popular content creator and streamer, Peller, has shed light on the reasons behind his recent decision to terminate the employment of his newly hired cameraman, who reportedly holds a master's degree, just one week after bringing him on board.
He shared this surprising revelation during a conversation with popular skit-maker Carter Efe, where he went into detail about the awkward situation that led to the abrupt dismissal.
It should be recalled that only a few weeks ago, Peller had posted an open call for job applicants, specifically looking for someone with a master's degree qualification to take on the role of his personal cameraman.
The position, which drew a lot of attention online, was filled by a candidate who met the academic requirement. However, despite the promising start, Peller ended the contract just days later, citing unprofessional behavior from the new hire.
According to Peller, the cameraman had already received an upfront payment of ₦500,000. But instead of maintaining professional boundaries, the individual showed up unexpectedly at Peller’s residence with his belongings, claiming he had been evicted and needed a place to stay.
Peller, who appeared visibly shocked and amused by the experience, explained that the accommodation request was inappropriate, especially since the apartment wasn’t even his personal property.
He recounted the incident in his own words:
“I give am 500K upfront money, him dey come him come carry bag come ourhouse, say where him dey sleep say them chase am commot. Say make I help you. Which kind talk be that one. And that place no be me get am. If say that place na my place, him go fit stay…”
The story quickly gained traction on social media, sparking discussions about boundaries in employer-employee relationships and the challenges public figures face when hiring help.
