Controversial Nigerian singer and performer, Portable, has once again sparked outrage on social media after he openly threatened to send “thunder” and use “juju” on social media activist VeryDarkMan in response to a proposed ₦100 million celebrity boxing match.
In a video that surfaced online and was widely shared via X (formerly Twitter), Portable expressed frustration over the fight proposal, describing the offer as insulting and suggesting that supernatural forces would be more effective than a physical fight.

“Nigeria is full of corruption and I’ll be richer than corruption. You’re giving me ₦100 million to fight VeryDarkMan — should I just kill him? Should I send thunder to him and tell it to strike him today?”
He went further to say:
“If I want to fight him, I’ll hit him with wood and juju.”
Portable also accused unknown individuals of manipulating the situation for their own interests, claiming they were setting him up to destroy VeryDarkMan under false pretenses. He expressed suspicion over the intentions of those suggesting the fight, insisting that he would rather resort to spiritual means than engage in a regular boxing match.
