Music producer Samklef has strongly denied allegations made by social media activist Verydarkman (VDM) suggesting that he was involved in a secret WhatsApp group created to manipulate the narrative around the death of late Nigerian singer Mohbad.
Verydarkman, known for his controversial takes and activism on social media, had recently leaked portions of a WhatsApp group chat, claiming that it included several high-profile celebrities such as Samklef, Iyabo Ojo, Jigan Baba Oja, among others. According to him, the group was allegedly plotting his arrest, leaking his nude video, and attempting to discredit him for pushing for a DNA test on Mohbad’s son and demanding a deeper probe into the singer’s death.
Responding to the accusations in a detailed post on X (formerly Twitter), Samklef dismissed them as baseless and branded Verydarkman a “clout chaser” and an “enemy of justice.”
“The group chat the whole world knows about even has an Instagram page. We created it to fight against bullies like Naira Marley, not to silence anybody,” Samklef clarified in his defense.
To further support his point, Samklef shared a copy of the petition Mohbad had filed against Sam Larry for assault and threats prior to his death. He emphasized that their collective goal was to demand accountability and justice on behalf of the late singer.
“Did Mohbad file a petition against Naira Marley and Sam Larry over threats and bullying, true or false? That’s what we were fighting for,” he added.
