The controversy surrounds a flirtatious moment captured between Usher and Jimalita Tillman during his April 2, 2025 concert. The clip went viral online, sparking widespread commentary and reactions, including from Sharpe and Johnson during a recent episode of their podcast.

According to legal documents filed by Tillman, the duo allegedly made defamatory and misleading remarks, falsely stating that she was a married woman whose husband had filed for divorce as a result of her interaction with Usher. These claims, Tillman argues, are entirely false and have caused significant reputational harm and emotional distress.

In reality, Jimalita Tillman asserts she is not married, but a single mother of one. She also holds a respected leadership role as the global director of the Harold Washington Cultural Center in Chicago. She is now demanding accountability for what she describes as reckless and slanderous commentary by Sharpe and Johnson.

This lawsuit adds to Sharpe’s recent legal troubles, as it follows his reported settlement of a $50 million lawsuit and his unexpected exit from ESPN (Entertainment and Sports Programming Network), where he had served as an analyst.

As of now, neither Shannon Sharpe nor Ochocinco Johnson has publicly responded to the lawsuit or issued a formal statement regarding the allegations made by Tillman.
