Controversial social media activist Verydarkman has made explosive allegations against several Nigerian celebrities, accusing them of collaborating via a secret group chat to obstruct the fight for justice in the death of late singer, Mohbad.
In a video lasting over 12 minutes, shared on his official Instagram page, Verydarkman revealed what he claimed was a covert WhatsApp group organized by popular actress Iyabo Ojo, allegedly featuring names like Samklef, Davido’s associate Dre, actor Jigan Baba Oja, and several others. According to him, this group was formed not to pursue justice but rather to spread misinformation, suppress the truth, and even facilitate his arrest.

He alleged that the group served as the operational base for plans designed to manipulate public perception during a period when demands for justice for Mohbad were loudest—especially following his suspicious passing in September 2023.
According to Verydarkman, both his nude video leak—published by gossip blog Gistlover—and his imprisonment were parts of a grand effort to silence his voice. He insists that these were responses to his refusal to back down on calling for full-scale investigations into Mohbad’s final 24 hours and his controversial push for a DNA test to determine the paternity of the late singer’s son, Liam Light Aloba.
“This group was created to push false narratives. They planned my arrest. They blackmailed me because I asked questions they didn’t want answered,” he said, stressing the emotional toll these alleged coordinated attacks have taken on him.
Verydarkman also stated his intention to fully expose the contents of the alleged WhatsApp group. He claimed the chat logs would reveal damning evidence of manipulation, misinformation, and coordinated actions against him and others advocating for the late singer.
Sharing the video on Instagram, he captioned it: “DRE DAVIDO YOU SENT ME TO PRISON FOR ONE MONTH WOW, you guys blackm@iled me because of this matter… see how ev!l these people are.”
