Controversial critic and social media personality, VeryDarkMan, has stirred up fresh drama online after releasing a series of WhatsApp chats allegedly involving Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo. In the chat, the actress accused popular Afrobeats singer Davido of chasing clout in connection to the tragic death of rising artist Mohbad.
The development marks another chapter in the ongoing feud between VeryDarkMan and Iyabo Ojo, which has gained widespread attention on social media. Their dispute has remained in the public eye as both parties continue to trade allegations and expose private communications.
According to VeryDarkMan, the tension escalated after he accused Iyabo Ojo of secretly apologizing to Naira Marley and Sammy Larry — two individuals who were previously criticized for their alleged ties to Mohbad’s death. This accusation comes as VeryDarkMan intensifies his campaign demanding justice for the late singer, who passed away under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023.
In the leaked messages, Iyabo Ojo appeared to question Davido’s sincerity, calling out the superstar for not unfollowing Naira Marley despite publicly expressing solidarity with Mohbad. She implied that Davido’s actions were performative and lacked genuine support.
“My problem is not even the black, whatever is Davido, who flee down like he claimed to fight for justice, but he still dey follow Naira Marley,” one part of the chat read, highlighting her frustration.
Iyabo Ojo also went further in the chat, stating her disappointment with Davido, calling him “fake love 001”. She claimed that the singer’s public display of support was merely an attempt to chase clout during a sensitive period in the entertainment industry.
“That means he was chasing clout. I am so disappointed and to think he has been saying he is the only superstar artist who stood by Mohbad. Just fake love 001,” the actress wrote in her message shared by VeryDarkMan.
This isn’t the first time VeryDarkMan has exposed private conversations related to the case. Earlier, he released screenshots of a group chat that allegedly included Tonto Dikeh, Iyabo Ojo, and several other influential Nigerian celebrities who had initially come together to demand justice for Mohbad’s death.
