A Nigerian lady has publicly shared her honest opinion about popular Big Brother Naija star and fast-rising Nollywood actress, Bambam, stating the reasons she might deliberately choose to avoid watching movies that feature the reality star-turned-actress in the future.
The lady, identified as Joy Charles Ekong, expressed her views via a Facebook post that has now sparked mixed reactions from social media users. In the post, she pointed out that although Bambam is undeniably elegant and articulate, her acting delivery—particularly her speech pattern—can feel tiring and repetitive to watch over time.

Joy specifically noted that Bambam has a tendency to excessively drag out her words in film dialogue, which she believes affects the overall pacing of scenes and makes them come across as monotonous. She admitted that this might not be a universal opinion, but it's one that has affected her personal viewing experience.
“Her tendency to drag out words makes her scenes feel monotonous and, honestly, a bit exhausting to watch. Of course, this is my personal opinion, it might not be the same for everyone,” she wrote in her now-viral post.
Despite her critique, Joy acknowledged that Bambam initially impressed her with her soft-spoken and polished delivery. She recalled appreciating Bambam’s feminine and eloquent accent, particularly in Omoni Oboli’s acclaimed Nollywood romantic drama, ‘Love in Every Word.’ However, Joy now feels that the actress may be overplaying that aspect of her performance, making it feel exaggerated rather than natural.
“I was one of those who initially commended Bambam for her feminine and eloquent way of speaking, especially in Omoni Oboli’s ‘Love in Every Word.’ However, lately, I feel she’s been overdoing it,” she emphasized, suggesting that a more grounded delivery might better serve her future roles.
It is worth noting that Bambam rose to prominence in the Nollywood industry with her standout role in ‘Love in Every Word,’ which marked a significant milestone in her acting journey post-BBNaija. Her performance gained attention for its graceful tone, which was initially seen as refreshing by many fans.
