With political anticipation rising ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria, prominent religious figure, Prophet Abel Boma, has issued a strongly worded prophecy concerning the presidential aspirations of Labour Party flagbearer, Peter Obi.
Speaking in a recent video broadcast shared on his official YouTube channel, Prophet Boma delivered what he described as a “divinely inspired message” warning that Peter Obi’s presidential ambition may not align with spiritual direction and could face serious opposition, betrayal, and unforeseen challenges if he ascends to power.
The cleric began by urging the nation, especially Christians, to pray fervently for Peter Obi, stating that he had a vision in which the politician, despite initially being celebrated, was ultimately publicly disgraced and labelled a fool.
“Let’s pray for Peter Obi. While I saw him sitting, at the end, they called him a fool publicly. The Lord said it is because of deceit; he will be deceived. They will say you’re the one we chose, but at the end of the last preparation to come out as the number one citizen, they will betray him,” Prophet Boma declared.
According to the prophet, if Peter Obi were to become Nigeria’s president, his administration would initially show strong focus on education and implement several progressive changes, especially in the northern region. However, Boma warned that Obi’s approach towards the church and Christian institutions would become a major source of controversy and spiritual concern.
“The number one thing that Peter Obi is going to do if he becomes the president, which we know is somehow doubtful, is that he is going to create a diplomacy against the church,” Boma warned, claiming such actions would result in spiritual consequences for the nation.
He elaborated further:
“Number two, he is not going to look at the economy; he will mostly look at the education sector, which is good, very nice. And number three, there are some things he will do in the northern community which will trigger anger.”
Prophet Boma said he had been shown “ten things” that would manifest should Obi take over the presidency. However, he stressed that the most spiritually disturbing revelation concerned Obi’s posture toward what he called “the kingdom of God.”
“There is only one thing that the spirit of God is not happy with, and it is the choice of Obi against the kingdom of God. We need to pray against that,” he stated.
The prophecy has since sparked a range of reactions among Obi supporters and the wider Christian community. Pastor Boma concluded his message by calling on believers nationwide to intercede and seek divine guidance as the nation heads toward another pivotal electoral cycle.
