Tragedy reportedly strikes as Dr. Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle, [/b]a respected senior lecturer at Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), located in Anyigba, Kogi State [/b], has allegedly passed away during a sexual encounter.

According to multiple sources, the incident occurred on July 15, 2025, at a private hotel in Anyigba where Dr. Ibikunle was said to have lodged with a 22-year-old undergraduate student identified as Gloria Samuel, who is reportedly in her 200 level at the institution.

Reports suggest that the lecturer, who was married with children, had checked into the hotel room with the student and allegedly consumed several bottles of energy drinks prior to engaging in the sexual act. Shortly after, he reportedly became unresponsive and eventually passed away on the spot.

Meanwhile, the student involved in the incident, Gloria Samuel, has been arrested by the police and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further interrogation and investigation.

Law enforcement officials have not ruled out foul play, but have stressed the importance of awaiting the outcome of the medical examination before drawing conclusions.
