Galatasaray have officially completed the permanent signing of Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen from Italian Serie A side Napoli, following his highly successful loan spell in Istanbul during the 2024/25 football season.
The landmark deal, which had been in the works for several weeks, was finalized after both clubs reportedly agreed on a comprehensive payment structure that satisfies Osimhen’s €75 million release clause. This was confirmed in an exclusive report by Football Italia.
Under the terms of the agreement, Galatasaray will pay the entire €75 million fee in full by the end of 2026. The Turkish giants will make an immediate payment of €40 million to Napoli, with the remaining €35 million set to be disbursed in structured installments over the next two years, ensuring a balanced financial strategy for both parties involved.
Additionally, the contract includes several clauses designed to protect Napoli’s long-term interests. These include a €5 million bonus package linked to Osimhen’s future performances, and a 10% sell-on clause entitling Napoli to a share of any future transfer fee should the player be sold to another club.
One of the most notable aspects of the transfer is the inclusion of a special ‘anti-Serie A clause’ which prevents Osimhen from being transferred to any Serie A rival within the next 24 months. Osimhen’s permanent move to Galatasaray follows a stellar individual campaign where he netted 37 goals and contributed eight assists in just 41 appearances across all competitions.
