A Nigerian woman has publicly shared the distressing story of her close friend — a wife reportedly abused by her husband, who allegedly battered her with a cane, infected her with a sexually transmitted infection contracted from himself, and caused the loss of her pregnancy.
Despite enduring significant trauma and health complications, her ordeal continued months later when she was allegedly beaten unconscious by the same man. The detailed account was narrated by a friend who documented the harrowing timeline through multiple social media posts, including videos and corroborating witness testimony.
According to the friend's posts, the marriage began in 2023 after a rushed courtship. Despite warnings and advice against hastiness, the woman proceeded with the marriage. Within two months of tying the knot, she discovered that her husband regularly maintained contact with his baby mama — a fact known to his family — and continued to visit their pre-marital home. This living arrangement exposed his wife to repeated risks, including sexually transmitted infections, which ultimately resulted in miscarriage.
The abuse escalated in early 2024. In February, the woman was brought to the hospital after being violently assaulted by her husband until she lost consciousness. Medical staff reported extensive bruising and bleeding — injuries he reportedly dismissed as an “asthma attack.”
