The Charly Boy Bus Stop, a well-known landmark in Bariga, Lagos, has officially been renamed to Baddo Bus Stop in a move to honor Nigerian rapper Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Baddo.
This renaming was carried out by the Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA) as part of its initiative to celebrate individuals who have positively influenced society through their contributions in arts, sports, and leadership.

According to the LCDA, the decision to rename Charly Boy Bus Stop to Baddo Bus Stop was driven by Olamide’s inspirational journey and his impact on youth empowerment and the music industry in Nigeria.
Additionally, other prominent locations in Bariga have undergone similar name changes. Bariga Road has been renamed to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way, acknowledging the former Lagos governor and current President of Nigeria for his political contributions.
Also, Ilojo Crescent has been renamed Bukayo Saka Street, in celebration of the England and Arsenal footballer, who is of Nigerian descent and recognized for his achievements in international football.
These changes are part of a broader recognition campaign aimed at preserving the legacies of Nigerians who have made a lasting impact both locally and globally.
