A Nigerian man has been apprehended after attempting to steal once again from the same Abuja shop where he had previously stolen a laptop valued at ₦800,000.
According to reports shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), this was not the suspect’s first offense. In fact, he had already been linked to a series of laptop thefts across at least five different stores in the Abuja area.
The incident went viral after user @ChuksEricE posted a video showing the moment the man was confronted by the shop owner. The video showed the suspect being physically restrained as the shop owner interrogated him about the stolen items.
In the footage, the suspect admitted to previously stealing a laptop from the same store. When pressed further, he also confessed to being the individual captured in multiple CCTV clips from other Abuja shops where similar thefts occurred.
The boldness of the man returning to the scene of an earlier crime left many viewers stunned. His actions sparked intense reactions online, ranging from anger to disbelief and calls for enhanced surveillance in retail stores across the city.
