A 27‑year‑old man, Ubakpororo Kelvin, has been arrested by the Delta State police after allegedly murdering his girlfriend, Excel Ukeredi Peace, following accusations that she had engaged in a hook‑up. The victim, and mother of his two children, tragically lost her life on June 26, 2025.
Kelvin evaded capture for several weeks but was eventually apprehended. In a video released by SP Bright Edafe, the police spokesperson, the suspect confessed to striking Excel Peace in the forehead multiple times with a hammer during a heated argument.
He claimed the violence escalated after she allegedly picked up a knife, and under the influence of tramadol and loud music, he lashed out in anger. Kelvin admitted to hitting her three times on the forehead during the confrontation.
In a series of shocking disclosures, Kelvin also revealed that he makes his living as a farmer and is involved in internet fraud, suggesting a troubled and conflicted personal life behind the act.
