A Nigerian POS agent has finally regained her freedom after spending two harrowing years in prison over a crime she insists she had no knowledge of—providing POS service to suspected kidnappers who used her terminal to withdraw ransom funds.
According to a viral TikTok video posted by @liousvee_ml, the woman was unknowingly approached by the criminals who withdrew between ₦500,000 and ₦600,000 through her POS machine. At the time, she assumed it was a regular transaction and had no idea that the money came from ransom payments extracted from kidnap victims.
Tragically, this innocent act led to her being arrested, charged, and imprisoned. Despite the eventual arrest and imprisonment of the actual kidnappers, the woman remained incarcerated for two full years, without any immediate attempt by authorities to rectify the injustice.
In the emotional video, the POS agent is seen walking out of prison, visibly shaken and tearful, repeatedly saying “I suffer o,” in a moment that has deeply moved Nigerians online.
The post captioned: “This lady is an officer of the Boys Brigade and a POS operator who got implicated by a kidnapper for what she knows nothing about,” highlights the disturbing flaws in the justice system that allowed an innocent citizen to languish behind bars for years despite evidence of her innocence.
The user further emphasized the social inequality present in the justice system, writing: “The funniest part is, the kidnapper was caught and put in prison as well, yet they refused to release her until now. GOD DID. What am I saying please, government, let’s help the masses.”
The video struck a nerve with many Nigerians who filled the comment section with a mix of congratulatory messages and frustration over the systemic failure. Many called for greater legal protections for ordinary citizens and for accountability from law enforcement and judicial systems.

God Did….. This lady is an officer of the Boys Brigade, a POS operator who got implicated by a kidnapper for what she knows nothing about. Her machine was used to pick random ₦500k to ₦600k, and she has been in prison for 2 years now… The funniest part is, in all this the kidnapper was caught and put in prison as well, still yet they refused to release her from prison until now… GOD DID. What am I saying please, Government let’s help the masses, not because most people are not financially stable they have to pay for unnecessary crimes they didn’t commit. Because if she was someone of influence, she wouldn’t have stayed more than a week. Please, the masses are still human… and the Government promised to be the voice of the voiceless… In all, thank God for everything after 2 years of pain for an unknown incident.
